Hobs On-Site held a Christmas Jumper Day across their UK locations to raise money for their selected charity, Macmillan Cancer Support. The Hobs team were keen to get involved and worked together to raise nearly £300 for a wonderful cause. A brilliant end to 2016!
James Duckenfield has been appointed as the new CEO of the Hobs Group. Kieran O’Brien will continue his involvement with the company as a non-executive director.
Hobs On-Site charity run 2016: Hobs On-Site have elected Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity of the year. A few members from the On-Site team volunteered to take part in the Salford 10K on Sunday the 4th September and raised just under £500.
The success of previous branded items inspires printing and distributing 200,000 branded Water Bottles on a tight deadline as part of a Print Management Service for United Utilities. The whole process was managed by Hobs On-Site and gained great feedback from the comms team and the general public.
Hobs On-Site are doing great work to bring young people into the print industry. They now have three young apprentices, the latest of which joined them in January. The training these budding young professionals receive is wide-ranging and will aid them in learning skills that will make them a valuable asset to any business.
The 3D printing facility is a major part of the Digital Innovation Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University. The 3D printing service, powered by Hobs On-Site, gives all students and staff free access to all of the high-end software needed to prepare 3D files plus the state-of-the-art hardware needed for printing.
Hobs On-Site and Hobs Studio have been working very closely with Manchester Metropolitan University over the past year to create a 3D printing facility within the campus. 3D Print Services has been fully operational since the start of the new academic term and is now a thriving part of the newly established Digital Innovation Centre.
